Intellectual Property Rights are legal rights, which result from intellectual activity in industrial, scientific, literary & artistic fields. These rights Safeguard creators and other producers of intellectual goods & services by granting them certain time-limited rights to control their use. Protected IP rights like other property can be a matter of trade, which can be owned, sold or bought. These are intangible and non-exhausted consumption.

  • To provide guidance in IP Protection, IP Awareness & Training, Counseling & Advisory Services.
  • To handhold Startups for identifying Intellectual Property in their day to day business & leverage it for Business Excellence.
  • To create a delivery mechanism for widespread awareness & training in IPR to all stakeholders of IP in the corresponding states.

The below mention list of IPFacilitationCentres are established under a National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) to enhance the competitiveness of the SMEs sector. One of the components of the NMCP is "Building Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)" for the MSME and the scheme is implemented under the Office of Development Commissioner Ministry of MSME, New Delhi.
